In the film Space Cowboys a young shuttle astronaut becomes indignant with an over-the-hill and out of retirement shipmate he’s forced to work with (Clint Eastwood) to prevent a doomed Soviet satellite secretly armed with nuclear warheads and guided by an American guidance system (Skylab) from crashing to Earth. The cocky flyboy touts the fact that he spent a bundle of cash getting a college education in order to work for NASA. To wit a sarcastic Eastwood replies, “Maybe you should get your money back?”

The president recently connected conservatives, republicans, and (legal) gun owners in America to potential right-wing extremists and, therefore, by deductive reasoning, terror threats that “cling to their guns and Bibles.” Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, officially corroborated this position on the DHS web site with a statement warning about right-wing extremist activities. This wasn’t directly said, but using such buzz words as “right-wing extremist” and “threat” in close proximity to words like “conservative” and “republican” consistently and repetitively, is how good PR works; folks will eventually equate them by association. Fear mongering in other words.

The PC Police Have Taken-Over! Will Osama bin Laden be far Behind?
B. H. Obama has renewed his vow to “defeat” al-Qaeda. This is interesting juxtaposition against his mandate forbidding the use of “hateful” terms like: terror, terrorism, and terrorist – except when referring to conservatives, Christians, American military personnel, gun owners, and tax objectors. And ironical considering he has suggested letting al-Qaeda members (some directly involved with the 9-11 “man made disasters”) walk right out the prison doors. One question might be, what will Obama be doing about (the man formerly known as) the worst terrorist the world has ever known – Osama bin Laden?
