This is a darn interesting picture and story even if you aren't into fishing. This sturgeon is still alive, just worn out from the fight. It was caught on LAKE OF THE WOODS, KENORA, ONTARIO two weeks ago. It weighed over one-thousand pounds and measured 11'1" long and 56" around the girth. It took four adult men over six-and-a-half hours to reel it in. Any Sturgeon OVER five feet by law must be released unharmed and cannot be removed from the water. This fish is a brood/breeding stock and is probably older than most of us.
